So, a few weeks ago I blogged about the coming of Pacific Beach’s newest establishment Mavericks Beach Club. Well, it’s here and the hype didn’t do it any justice. The layout is brilliant and the decor is flawless, my favorite being the yellow wooden chairs. The menu packed just as much of a punch as the decor. The Five Spice wings were gone in 5 seconds flat. These juicy and tender wings perfectly glazed in the most finger licking worthy of sauces, I mean come on! What better to follow up that delicious goodness than with a Watermelon Mule. Continuing the Five Spice craze I opted for the Shrimp Truck. A flavorful bowl filled with cilantro lime rice, Five Spice shrimp, pineapple salsa, and shaved jalapenos. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy on such a beautiful day in this beach town. My last dish, the quesadilla crisp, while a departure in ingredients was just as delectable as the first two. A crispy and flaky open-faced tortilla sprinkled with cheddar jack cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, lime crema, and cotija cheese.
